Sometimes, when I take a look at the catalog, I can really hardly believe these two mwY records were in there. They helped put Gilead Media on the map in a big way, which is strange considering the direction I decided to ultimately take the label (more metal, less indie). My friend Chris Sommer was the first person to try and get me into mewithoutYou, unsuccessfully. Then my old metalcore band played a festival with them in Iowa, and I really did not enjoy their set. After that my friend Seth got into them, and I still just couldn't dig it when he'd play it while we hung out. It wasn't until a few years later, while working for the music distributor in Toledo, that I heard Catch For Us The Foxes. I couldn't believe how much I loved these songs, and could hardly believe it was the same band. I bought the CD that day and it was pretty much the only thing I listened to for a long time. Shortly after digesting that record I went back and picked up AB LIFE and found myself in love with that album as well. These records still stand as two of my favorites throughout my history with music, and I'm honored I was able to give them the vinyl treatment. Big thanks to Tooth & Nail for being so excellent to work with on these albums over the past couple years. I definitely couldn't believe it when I got the original email saying we had the go-ahead to enter an agreement from the folks at Tooth & Nail.
