Olbrich's Blooming Butterflies: Take 2
I had missed out on the conservatory during my [lone!] 2008 visit to Olbrich....but my [also lone!] 2009 visit would prove quite fun.
I actually spent little time in the gardens--the conservatory was where all the action was!!!

The Julias are among my favorite butterflies to photograph...but I prefer photographing them when they have their wings open!!!
Oh well, gotta wait, I guess.....
Hey!! Look!! Up in the tree!!!
The Common Buckeye isn't really a favorite butterfly of mine, but it is still a pretty one.
Yes, this one had a little bit taken off his wing, but he didn't seem to mind...
I don't know if this was the same Julia I saw earlier, but he didn't want to open his wings...
It can be said that I have an irrational fondness for the white peacock. Its beauty easily rivals any Monarch I've ever seen.
With wings that resemble the Julia's in shape, the Zebra Longwing is an equally stunning butterfly.
After a bit of waiting and walking and snapping, I finally found a Julia just calling for its photo to be taken!
