Florals
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since getting into photography in 2003, flowers have been a favorite subject of mine.
Anyone who knows me knows that I visit our state's fine botanical gardens quite often.
Sometimes, however, I get some photos fairly close to home....
All photos taken in or around my house unless otherwise noted.
Also be sure to see the photos that started it all----the
2003 Lilies!!!
The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art's Rooftop Terrace is also home to all kinds of nice flowers. This tulip was one of them.

I have no idea how this daisy wound up popping up by the bush outside my patio. It was sure cute, though.
We had planted some violas into a pot in 2008. Apparently, some seeds made it into the ground the next year.
Easter lily [longiflorum] studio shots, from 2006 [top] and 2007 [bottom]
Some studio [read: in my room] rose shots. Believe it or not, this was ambient light only.
All taken at the Paine Art Center's gardens in 2009---the last 2 are my most favorite type of lily.
Also at the Paine. Yes, I have to give props to the daylilies!
Probably my most favorite of all the photos I've ever taken [and no doubt my favorite floral shot],
from the 2004 Tour of Gardens in Oshkosh. I wonder if it was placed there or it just wound up in there by itself.
